It was My birthday on the 6th of this Month And I was lucky enough to get some nice gifts, I had a nice meal and had An Xbox 360 Elite with HDDVD player and movie and game.
Since the Xbox 360 Elite has HDMI I am now in the HD Era and I have tried it out in a number of ways connected to a number of lcd and tv set up's around the house and learnt quite a few things.
Firstly in an lcd TV of 720p a movie is utterly amazing and I got
have seen it on dvd and in the cinema part from looking amazing and sound a lot better the experience was so much better.
Not only did it have a few more scenes over the cinema (becuase
you need to get bums on seats but directors are limited to what people
consider to long) It had so much more compared to the DVD.
There was a lot more in regard to what a furian is and was and
extra scenes in that regard but nearly every few minutes the hd movie
had so much more to it.
Every scene had just a few extra seconds to it - longer shots,
longer pans and for me made the movie a lot better and a lot more
understanding and how it was meant to be and even still with the extras
a few unfinished scenes left out.
The Chronicles of Riddick - Did a great job on the hd, very enjoyable watch
The fast and the furious all they have done is put it in hd looks, the sound is about the same as the dvd
I have serenity coming in the post soon and that apparently is an
all out hd and I have 300 mainly for the sound and the looks of that
BUT also the 20 minutes of extra shots not seen even in the cinema.
I think since they can be more expensive then DVD for the newer
ones it is defiantly worth reading up on what movies to get that make
it worth the hd.
I have learnt a lot in terms of the HDMI format and support and cables and what works and what does not work and I plan to Do a quick article for you web folk soon as it is quite useful from what movies are shot in what to what lcd will work and what will not and tell you what I have learnt about HDCP.
