TES Environment Award in association with National History Museum crest award BP and Seven Trent Water – Students across the UK with good science grades and knowledge were invited to produce and take part in something that would help improve the environment as a group of each school taking part.
The group of which I was a part of recreated a home environment designed to reduce heating costs through the house’s design and therefore save energy and in term the environment. The group made it the finals and a selection of that group attended this, as a result the whole group picked up the crest Bronze Award for the proposal.

Young Enterprise Europe Qualification/Skills
Young Enterprise is undertake by A-level Students where they ser up a company and aim to make a profit and during the running of the company learn the necessary skills in managing and running a small business including its finances.
An Exam is taken toward the end to gain the Young Enterprise Delegacy o f Local Examinations Qualifications. The group involved with attended the Area Finals which consisted of 60 groups which was also hosted by the company at the college

A number of commendations and distinctions throughout study with many comming through the areas of study in Physics, Geography, Mathematics, Computing and Design/Art

Since coming out of University and with the small problems mentioned with Injury I have yet to obtain a full time job but Have worked in a number of part time jobs and also done a number of freelance work which can be seen in my portfolio section of my website. During study I have been on a number of work placements and had experience from them, the three largest being one during High School and my first real taste of a real working environment, College Young Enterprise – running a company in a group (more below) and at University a work placement At a High School.

First experience – Working for as mall computer firm during high school work placement to get the first feel of the computing industry this company sold computer hardware. Young Enterprise – A very interesting experience and rewarded for a good company High School Work Placement – At Bushloe High School as a Teaching assistant and website development for the school, the thoughts behind this placement was as a result of the interest in teaching in the future and to get an idea of such and environment

Part Time: A number of part time jobs during study but the main one being an assistant at a Jacksons Family Food Supermarket, working hard and during this time help achieve a very good service test of the store as well as prevent two cases of fraud and a 4 cases of theft handling which lead to police arrests of the thief’s
